The Position
Take this fantastic opportunity to work as an Emergency Medicine PHO in Queensland. Working alongside the Director, Staff Specialists and Senior Medical Officers you will help to ensure the Emergency Department runs to the highest of standards. You will support the clinical care of patients via planning, supervising and arranging appropriate clinical investigations. You will liaise with and maintain good communications with all areas and disciplines within the health service, along with assisting with the supervision of day to day tasks undertaken by junior doctors.

Offering a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services, this 69 bed Hospital is serving a growing population leading to an increase in workforce and new infrastructure. The hospital provides a range of clinical services, including general medicine, surgery, maternity, paediatrics, emergency services, outpatients, medical imaging, pathology and pharmacy. 

The Location
Located 550 kilometres from Brisbane, on the inlet of the Coral Sea, this town has become one of Australia’s premier port cities and a thriving hub of activity. With its sub-tropical climate it manages to maintain a relaxed, laid back charm and offers a whole range of outdoor activities throughout the year. Essential Criteria
To be eligible you must have general registration with AHPRA or be eligible for registration having had 12 months recent General Medical experience in a country with comparable healthcare to Australia.
