With prior practice in Emergency Medicine and PGY3+ in your level of experience, you will find development pathways and training opportunities are available with this service that values and looks to progress its doctors throughout their medical career. You will find yourself supported from the very beginning during the onboarding period and then throughout your contract as your capabilities develop. Dependent on your prior level of experience your duties and the level of support you receive may vary as you find the hospital have a fair and equitable approach to roster management.
This sub-regional health service provides a range of services (public, private and not for profit) for a population of approximately 42,000. You will be joining one of its two public hospitals in an area characterised by its strong agricultural, timber, aviation and tourism sectors. The Emergency Department itself treats approximately 17,000 patients each year. Generally, beds are readily available for admission as required. There are 2 resuscitation bays, 4 cubicles, 3 treatment rooms and 2 consultation rooms. A mobile telehealth platform provides 24/7 access to the Victorian Stroke Team and can be used for other telehealth purposes.

You must hold current registration or be eligible for registration with the Australian Medical Board (AHPRA) with experience from a country with a comparable healthcare system (New Zealand, the UK, Ireland, Canada or USA). You will be PGY4+ in your level of experience, with positions available to junior, middle grade and senior doctors.
