== The Position == As an Emergency Medicine Specialist or VMO you will join this developing department as it grows from strength to strength. Along with providing overall management of the medical aspects of the Department you will also utilise your high level of knowledge, proficiency, skills and experience to assist in education and teaching of other medical staff within the department. You will work to support core NSW Public sector values such as equal and ethical practise and you will strive to provide the highest quality of care for all patients. The Hospital This 80 bed facility is a public hospital offering a range of specialist services including orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, general surgery, paediatrics, acute medicine and anaesthesia. There is also a 32 bed Mental Health facility along with support from retrieval services from Canberra and Sydney for urgent transfers. As for the Emergency Department itself, it is a 24hr service with around 18-20,000 mixed presentations annually, 10-15% of which are Paediatric cases. It is staffed by a senior permanent and casual CMO workforce and is led by a Director who is a staff specialist. == The Location == What sets this area apart from the others is its unspoiled and natural beauty.  The region is popular for adventures such as canyoning, bush walking, camping and bike rides, due to the spectacular range of river and cave systems within the local national park.
