== The Position == An Emergency Medicine Specialist is required to join a small supportive team on the stunning coast of New Zealand. In this role you will experience a diverse range of presentations, the ED services are well supported locally as well as having strong ties with the closest tertiary referral centre.   The Hospital This opportunity is based in a 110 bed well-equipped secondary hospital with modern facilities, caring for a close-knit, multicultural community of 46,000 people. The hospital offers a range of service ? Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Medicine, Pathology and Emergency, as well as allied health services. There is also established networks for clinical backup and tertiary support from the surrounding hospitals. == The Location == Set apart by the most temperate climate and beautiful natural surroundings, it is little wonder that this is the work destination of choice for many medical professionals. The area is well known for its relaxed lifestyle, beautiful rural setting, pristine beaches and being the third largest wine growing region in the country. There are excellent local schools, real estate is affordable and you will spend very little time commuting to work. == Essential Criteria == To be successful in applying for this position you must be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, hold specialist qualifications and meet the English language proficiency requirements.
