The Position
As an Emergency Medicine Consultant you will be joining a well-staffed department with a great culture and friendly working nature. You will offer support and guidance to junior members of the team whilst also offering leadership and direction. On-call duties are shared amongst the Consultants with the need for around one shift per fortnight.

With an average of 52,000 presentations being seen annually, recent reports have highlighted that the performance is well above the national standard for patients requiring urgent treatment being seen within a 30-minute time frame.

The Hospital
In recent years this hospital has undergone a major redevelopment totalling in excess of $50 million. The redevelopment has delivered new beds, improved services in the rehabilitation unit, as well as a new emergency department, maternity unit and special care nursery. It has become a major medical service providing an extensive range of inpatient, outpatient, community, allied, mental and oral health services

Essential Criteria

To be eligible for this role you must hold AHPRA Specialist registration and have Fellowship with ACEM. Alternatively, you will hold the equivalent from a country with a comparable health care system such as the UK, Ireland, USA or Canada.
