== The Position == A well-performing Emergency department in a smaller hospital environment has an opportunity available for an ED specialist to join a cohesive group, with no night shift or on call requirements. Yes, you heard right, the time is now to have your career while being able to have a routine.   As the ED Physician you will be a primary responder to critical cases, along with attending to the slightly more routine but still urgent clinical presentations, with support from an enduring team of skilled ED Nurses who all collectively respond to approximately 18,000 presentations at the Emergency Department each year. The Hospital This opportunity is based in a 133 bed non-tertiary, provincial, general hospital in New Zealand?s South Island, small by some standards but this has manifold benefits. In recent years, the hospital has been completely remodelled allowing you to work in a modern facility the provides a range of services to 55,000 people including surgery, paediatrics, mental health, maternity, general medical and aged care.
