As an Emergency Medicine Consultant you will provide both high quality clinical care to patients and excellent clinical guidance to junior members of the multidisciplinary team. Assisting the Director of Emergency Medicine, you will ensure detailed patient treatment plans are in place to support the timely management of patients and that all clinical records are maintain to a high standard. You will show a willingness to commit to an equitable hospital on-call roster as well as a willingness to work effectively with medical and other health service colleagues.
The opportunity is also available to work as the Director of Emergency Medicine within the same health service. The 2 opportunities would be well suited to either a new FACEM looking to gain further experience or an experienced FACEM looking to progress with their management skills.
You will be based in a brand new, state-of-the-art hospital comprising of 130 overnight beds with a view to increase over the next 5 years. Receiving over $160 million in federal funding, the new facility has enhanced the range, quality, and level of clinical and support services in the local region. Furthermore, it is a teaching hospital for medical and nursing students. The hospital is able to deliver contemporary and integrated models of care which better meet the health care needs of the region.
