This bustling Emergency Department is looking for specialists in Emergency Medicine to join the existing team of FACEMs within a rapidly growing organisation. Your day to day will include the provision of ongoing management and care for patients requiring assessment, short stay admission and discharge from the Emergency Department within a 24-hour period. Alongside this, you will have the opportunity to sink your teeth into a teaching role, whereby you could be responsible for up to 6 AT’s completing their 6-month advance training in the department, at any one time. You will find it hard not to be enthusiastic about investing your energy in a department that appreciates your ideas!
With a brand-new Emergency Department is due to open in 2019 now is the time to become a part of this welcoming facility! The hospital already boasts state of the art facilities in its newly opened surgical services and maternity building. Fully equipped to offer a wide range of medical and surgical specialties the hospital also offers 24/7 onsite pathology and imaging, as well as an ICU, CCU, HDU, Ambulatory Care Unit, and Dialysis Unit. The Emergency Department sees over 30,000 presentations per year with close to a quarter of those becoming admissions. The case load includes just under a third of paediatric cases and a significant amount of trauma.
