As an Emergency Medicine Staff Specialist you will utilise your extensive experience to assess and treat patients within the emergency department. As a professional you will be responsible for the patients care and ensuring this is effectively communicated with both the patient’s family and other care providers. Another responsibility of this role is to ensure patient treatment reflects modern evidence, utilises cost effective solutions and is predominantly patient centred.
You will report to the Director of Emergency Medicine and be responsible for educating student doctors and supervising registrars and residents. As such you will be a strong communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills. You will also be expected to continue your own professional development by participating in research and educational programs.
With this role you will be joining one of the region’s largest employers with nine hospitals and more than 7,300 employees. The emergency departments within this health district are open 24 hours, seven days a week throughout the year. With an aim to provide exceptional patient care in a timely manner, this newly developed health district already has an outstanding reputation.
