As a Career Medical Officer in Emergency Medicine, you will be the most senior on shift with support from junior doctors. You will be joining a hospital that works under a public-private partnership, contributing to the values of the organisation whilst promoting and displaying consistent high standards of clinical care. You will work four, 10-hour shifts on a rotating roster earning an hourly rate depending on experience and penalty rates covering: 12.5% for 6pm-midnight, 50% night-8am, time + ½ from midnight Friday to midnight Saturday, and time + ¾ from midnight Saturday to midnight Sunday.
Operating under a unique public-private partnership with the NSW Government, this hospital consists of 120 beds and offers services such as medical, surgical, paediatric, intensive and coronary care. Along with a 24hour Emergency department, there is also an afterhours GP Clinic and a clinical and nursing school for a number of nearby Universities. The Emergency department itself sees 60-80 presentations per day and you will experience lower acuity presentations and no trauma.

With AHPRA General Registration you will be confident in your ability to work independently having gained at least 4 years prior experience in Emergency Medicine.
