== The Position == As an Emergency Medicine Registrar you will be expected to participate in the provision, development and maintenance of an effective and high quality clinical service. Working under support and supervision of senior staff you will also assist with continued improvement of medical education and dissemination of knowledge to other medical staff as well as clients. You will document all relevant medical notes accurately as well as making sure all discharge summaries and other correspondence is completed concisely and in a timely matter.   The Hospital The hospital is the main referral facility for the district which serves a population of approximately 135,000 people. The hospital deals with accidents and retrievals from surrounding islands, mining and farming areas, making it a central and vital facility for the region with a large range of clinical presentations. The ED department has two resus bays, three high dependency bays, 20 consult rooms, a Short Stay Unit and Fast Track area with three consult rooms.   == The Location == This tropical city, with a rich and colourful history, is known for its picture perfect ?post card? beaches and laid back environment.
