== The Position == As Director of the Emergency Department, you will join a welcoming team and great place to work, reflected by the majority of medical staff having been retained for over 5 years. You will work 2 days non-clinical and 2 clinical days per week. Shift times are 7am-5:30pm or 1:30pm-midnight (12-8:30pm if required). You will see a variety of presentations including regular GP type cases and 51% of level 1-3 cases. The workforce is made up of FACEM?s, CMO?s and JMO?s as well as the nursing staff. The Hospital This 100+bed hospital has recently completed a $22 million redevelopment, implementing new state of the art operating theatres and surgical services. Additionally, refurbishment of existing orthopaedic and medical imaging wards was completed. With an excess of 12,500 admissions per year, care is provided across such areas as Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Oncology and Renal Dialysis. As for the Emergency Medicine department, this has been newly refurbished and sees approximately 37,000 presentations annually with the numbers increasing. == The Location == With a population nudging 50,000 this urban oasis offers small town charm with all the amenities you would expect in a large city.
