The Opportunity A rare opportunity exists for an innovative leader with a passion for woman-centred care to lead the largest provider of women?s health services in Australasia. The Director Women?s Health will provide contemporary clinical leadership, strategic direction, and overall management to a collaborative multi-disciplinary team of health professionals in Auckland District Health Board (ADHB)?s Women?s Health Directorate.  The Director Women?s Health will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the Directorate?s strategic and business plans. You will take ownership of the annual operating budget and drive performance against internal and external financial targets and obligations. In addition, the Director Women?s Health will work collaboratively will the Ministry of Health and other DHBs to ensure funding for tertiary and quaternary care is appropriate and to develop innovative women?s health care pathways.  Clinical risk and governance, developing sustainable models of care, implementing contemporary practices and quality improvement initiatives will be key responsibilities of this role, alongside providing operational direction aligned with the ADHB strategic priorities. The structure of == The Position == is negotiable with a minimum 0.7 FTE dedicated to Directorate leadership. The clinical component of the role can be created as desired, and is flexible, up to 0.3 FTE. The Health Service Auckland District Health Board has 3 major facilities including New Zealand?s largest public hospital as well as the largest clinical research facility. There are approximately one million patient contacts each year, including local hospital and outpatient services. ADHB employs over 10,000 highly skilled clinical and non-clinical professionals and is recognised for providing timely and effective services that its communities can rely on.
