As an energetic director of Emergency Medicine Training, you will be committed to and passionate about the continued education and training of Emergency Medicine Trainees. You will display an ability to remain objective and fair, whilst being able to give constructive feedback and unbiased opinions and you will enjoy counselling new trainees on their career choices. As the point of contact, you will provide information pertaining to training programs, examination regulations and opportunities for internal rotations within the institution. To support you in the role you will become part of the DEMT network and will gain access to the ELearning forum where you can discuss the role and responsibilities with others throughout Australia and New Zealand.
In terms of working as an Emergency Medicine Consultant you will provide the highest quality of specialist medical care to all attending patients via planning, supervising and arranging appropriate clinical investigations. You will report to the Director of Emergency Medicine and become a valued member of the growing team.

The Emergency Department itself receives on average 45,000 cases a year with all types of patient presentations including major trauma and 20% paediatric cases. To be successful in applying for this position you will have a true passion for medical education along with an approachable and supportive attitude. You will display a solid understanding of emergency medicine with a minimum of 3 years FACEM experience. Along with your Fellowship with the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine you will also have specialist general registration with AHPRA.
