The Position
An opportunity has become available for a Diagnostic Radiologist who can deliver a wide range of medical imaging procedures as part of a newly transformed department. The department is a family friend work environment that focuses on job satisfaction, team work and work/life balance.
You will be involved in, but not restricted to, general radiology, barium studies, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, aniography and interventional studies and mammography. You will be joining a large District Health Board that have committed to providing a modern and innovative approach to healthcare.

The Hospital
This modern 260 bed hospital provides secondary services to a population of 148,000, with 24-hour acute and elective care in general and orthopaedic surgery, medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, cardiology, regional rheumatology, regional burns and plastics, psychiatry, rehabilitation, gastroenterology and paediatrics.  The hospital has extensive programmes including professional development, clinical training and education.

The Location
This hospital is located on the North Island, only a 15 minute drive to a major city and offers a large variety of accommodation options - city apartment living, suburban house with backyard or a few acre hobby farm.  A vibrant and cultural region, the city is known for its cafes, restaurants, nightlife and proximity to beaches and wine region. Essential Criteria
To be successful in applying for this position you must be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand and hold specialist qualifications.
