== The Position == An opportunity is available a Diagnostic Radiologist with a range of skills and a good grasp of general radiology. Working across modalities including CT, Ultrasound, general imaging and the options of MRI sessions and Breast screening. You will join a team of 10 consultants and 3 registrars that have an interesting and varied workload, carrying out around 96,000 examinations per year. You will be working with up to date equipment including CT, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, DSA, and seven general digital radiography rooms and Nuclear Medicine with two gamma cameras. For the right consultant, there is the opportunity to do both private and public services. There is a private provider on the hospital grounds that has an MRI and there is the opportunity to be employed by both private and public services, offering an attractive remuneration package and variety to your workload. Hospital Located in a provincial city, the hospital has 350 beds and cares for a total regional population of around 166,000. It is a teaching hospital that has close ties to major New Zealand Universities. The District Health Board is currently undergoing a transformational change programme to firmly establish itself as a high performing health system, making this a very exciting time to join.
