== The Position == In this Specialist Neurologist Physician position, you will utilise your high level of clinical knowledge, proficiency, skills and experience in the assessment, investigation, diagnosis and treatment of patients within the hospital for Neurology and Stroke services as well as participate in the Neurology on-call roster. This hospital prides itself on its active Neurology trainee training program. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to teaching trainees and residents as well as medical students from the University of Sydney Rural Medical School and engage in ongoing quality assurance activities for the health service. The Hospital This hospital is a 180-bed facility and is the largest of the 4 base facilities in the Area Health Service. Annually the hospital treats more than 27,000 patients in the Emergency Department, performs over 6,000 operations, delivers more than 900 babies and performs 65,000 outpatient services. The service recently underwent a $250m development. This facility has close links with Sydney University and hosts students in the final two years of the Graduate Medical Programme.
