Consultant Radiologist

The Position
A team of 6 consultants is looking for a new colleague to join their department. In this role you will provide imaging in most modalities via 1.5T Siemans Aera MR unit (new Oct 2016), GE Revolution GSI CT, Siemens Artis Zee C-arm fluoroscopy suite, GE Logic ultrasound units and GE Centricity RIS/PACS. There is a Teleradiology service which reduces call back time and there may be an opportunity to do private practice work, depending on your medical registration requirements.

The Hospital
This District health board provides secondary healthcare services to an area population of 108,000 people through the facilities located in the North Island. The two hospitals underwent a rebuild in 2013 which updated the ward and theatre areas and provided state of the art ambulatory outpatient area for gynaecology to facilitate outpatient hysteroscopy and colposcopy. This hospital is a district general hospital and is one of the most spectacular regions in the country.

Essential Criteria
To be successful in applying for this position you must be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, hold specialist qualifications (FRANZCR or equivalent) and meet the English language proficiency requirements.
