You will be responsible for providing inpatient and outpatient treatment and care to private patients referred to you by our extensive and supportive GP network. This is an ideal opportunity for a Psychiatrist to establish a busy and successful practice in a supportive team focused environment.

The Clinic is a dedicated 12 bed private mental health facility located on site at the Private Hospital, an 81 bed facility. The Hospital offers psychiatry, medical, surgical and rehabilitation services to a catchment population of approximately 100,000 people. The Clinic offers both inpatient and day programs. All patients are admitted on a voluntary basis under the care of a Psychiatrist, supported by a team of highly trained nurses, psychologists and other allied health professionals. An Easy Access referral programme is in place.
Inpatient programs include: depression, anxiety, mood disorders, Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), and Transcranial Magnetic Simulation (TMS).
Day programs include: mood and anxiety, relapse prevention, and a DVA approved post-traumatic stress disorder program.

With a demonstrated ability to provide clinical services and leadership in an acute mental health team you will hold or be eligible to hold registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Fellowship of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. You will also have a current unrestricted NSW Class C drivers licence or equivalent.
Other qualifications can of course be assessed on a case-by-case basis. For those unable to work at Consultant level, there are multiple opportunities to take advantage of at Senior Medical Officer and Registrar level.
