The Opportunity  This hospital is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist for an 18-month contract in their inpatient unit.  The hospital is a fully accredited psychiatric teaching hospital, and has research and education facilities located on the campus.   The role calls for a psychiatrist who is consultative and collegiate; is committed to working under a patient centred multi-disciplinary team approach; and is committed to clinical teaching and clinical research. == The Position == reports to the Clinical Director.   The Hospital The hospital is used as a major training facility for medical, nursing and other health professionals specialising in adult mental health. It is Western Australia's largest mental health inpatient facility, and the only public stand-alone psychiatric teaching hospital. There are 178 beds, and 320 nurses on staff.   Other services at the hospital include the State Forensic Mental Health Service, the Psychiatric Services Library, CECAT an art therapy centre and Statewide Indigenous Mental Health Services.   == The Location == The hospital is just over 15 minutes? drive from Perth CBD. RANZCP Supervisor certification desirable. ECT not required.
