The Opportunity This Mental Health Service is looking to appoint a suitably experienced and enthusiastic person to == The Position == of Consultant Psychiatrist. In this role you will be responsible for administering psychiatric assessments and treatments. You will also be responsible for the physical welfare of patients and remandees under direct care. In addition to providing medical and psychiatric care, you will provide consultation liaison psychiatry services to prisoners as required.   The Hospital This Area Health Service is the largest health service in Western Australia. With over 10,000 staff, they deliver a comprehensive range of community, mental health and specialist hospital services to a population of more than 870,000 north of the Swan River.   This Mental Health Service assesses and cares for people who come from the courts and prisons. The service is comprised of a maximum-secured inpatient psychiatric hospital, a community program and a prison outreach service. In this role you will be responsible for psychiatric assessment, treatment, physical welfare and medical and psychiatric care for every patient, prisoner and remandee allocated to his/her care.   == The Location == The service is just over 15 minutes? drive from Perth CBD.
