== The Position == Seeking to appoint highly motivated and enthusiastic Psychiatrists. Positions are available for Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists and Old Age Psychiatrists. == The Position ==s will be accountable and responsible to the area Clinical Director ? Mental Health, Justice Health and Alcohol and Drug Services through an Individual Learning and Development Plan   The successful applicant will have broad experience in Community Psychiatry including the challenges of managing an itinerant population and in optimising medication options. An emphasis on Recovery within this context is essential.   Mental Health, Justice Health and Alcohol & Drug Services (MHJHADS) provides health services directly and through partnerships with community organisations. The services provided range from prevention and treatment to recovery, maintenance and harm minimisation. Consumer and carer participation is encouraged in all aspects of service planning and delivery. The Division works in partnership with consumers, carers and a range of government and non-government service providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.   The Hospital The hospital that you will be working with provides specialised and acute care to the city and surrounding region. The hospital was established in 1991 and now has 600+ beds to serve a population of over half a million. Today the hospital is recognised as a national leader in the provision of high-quality healthcare, delivering a variety of medical, surgical and obstetric services. The hospital is also a principal university teaching hospital, affiliated with world class universities and research institutions.   In this role you will work with the Mental Health, Justice Health and Alcohol & Drug Services. The Division encompasses; prevention, treatment, recovery, maintenance and harm minimisation. You are also a comfortable two-hour drive to the South Coast of New South Wales, which offers a relaxed atmosphere with endless beautiful beaches to uncover and activities like whale watching and sailing for the adventurous   == Essential Criteria ==   Australia/NZMust hold FRANZCP and be eligible for Specialist registration with AHPRAUK/IrelandMust hold MRCPsych / FRCPsych plus UK Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and have been practicing as a Consultant for 3 years or moreUSAMust hold Certificate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and have been practicing as a Consultant for 3 years or more.CanadaMust hold Fellowship in Psychiatry or Certificate in Psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and have been practicing as a Consultant for 3 years or more.   Other qualifications can of course be assessed on a case-by-case basis. For those unable to work at Consultant level, there are multiple opportunities to take advantage of at Senior Medical Officer and Registrar level
