== The Position ==   As an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist your primary clinical work will be provided within the adult team, in both inpatient and community settings. You will be required to be flexible to meet the needs of the team, and there will be some on call requirements. This hospital is known for being a friendly place to work with great support in place, allowing its staff members to grow and develop to reach their potential.     The Hospital The hospital that you will be working in consists of 600 beds and an emergency department that sees in excess of 4,500 patients per annum. The hospital is the major tertiary level cardiothoracic referral hospital for Queensland, the largest such unit in Australia, and one of the largest services of its type in the world. The hospital also provides emergency; general medical and surgical services; orthopaedics; rehabilitation and aged care services as well as outreach specialist services throughout Queensland. The Mental Health Service provides a Mobile Intensive Support Team which can provide outreach services, Acute Inpatient Unit, Transitional Discharge Team, Extended care facilities, Older Adults Integrated Mental Health Team, Community Mental Health teams and Perinatal Services. It has a resource team which includes an Indigenous Mental Health Team, Forensic Liaison Officer, Dual Diagnosis Coordinator, GP Liaison Officer, Consumer Support Program, Recovery and Rehabilitation Team and an Early Psychoses Team.   == The Location == You will be living in Australia?s fastest growing city that currently has a population of 1.7 million people.
