== The Position == In this permanent full-time role, you will work within the Palliative Medicine Department of the regional referral centre to deliver evidence-based clinical care. In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of Specialists and Advanced Trainees to deliver regional outreach and telehealth services. As the Consultant Physician in Palliative Medicine, it is expected that you provide support and guidance to your peers and should you have the experience, contribute to the strategic planning, service development and education of the Division.    The Unit The Palliative Care Service includes a 10-bed hospice unit. it currently has a Day Hospice Program and is supported by a Community Palliative Care Nursing Team. there is also currently a Palliative Care at Home Pilot Project which is underway.   The Hospital  Committed to a high level of professionalism and community engagement, $630 million has recently gone into development works of facilities ensuring patients and their families receive the most innovative care available.
