Wavelength is currently recruiting a Consultant Anaesthetist for a full time opportunity in Western Australia. Joining a large regional health service, you will be responsible for performing high level anaesthetic care and patient management. You will provide clinic services for day surgery patients to assist in the assessment and preparation as necessary. You will be comfortable in acute resuscitation services for medical, surgical and trauma emergencies performing these as required. Additionally, you will showcase your leadership skills as you provide administrative leadership within the team. You will also provide review and education to colleagues and medical students as required.
This regional hospital has 90 beds and services a catchment population of over half a million people over 2,250,000 square kilometres. This unique health service is the largest of its kind in Australia servicing a large proportion of Indigenous communities. A range of services are provided at this Hospital including Obstetrics, Oncology, Paediatric and Psychiatric services. Additionally, a $59.6 million redevelopment was recently opened improving patient services and offering new facilities for both the cancer centre and palliative care units. A new, modern 24 hour Emergency Department was also launched assisting in the demands of the 23,325 presentations seen annually, resulting in over 11,783 hospital admissions.

The successful candidate will be a Fellow of the Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and be registered as a specialist with AHPRA.
