== The Position ==  An exciting opportunity has arisen within this newly opened  facility to join a progressive, friendly and modern gastroenterology and hepatology department at the recently opened Hospital. You will join a team of three full-time and one part-time consultant gastroenterologists and two full-time consultant hepatologists. The team is currently expanding with a further two consultants to join this year and  therefore requires a specialist with management experience to help build on the achievements of the past few years and to work with us to move to the next level of development. Supported by a dynamic MDT team, the department prides itself on its progressive and team based approach to patient care. There is a comprehensive endoscopy service based in a new three-room state of the art interventional suite with the latest Olympus endoscopy equipment and facilities for GI physiology and capsule endoscopy. You will promote a positive attitude across the team to ensure the highest standard of patient care is provided at all times and you will be the point of contact for all complex clinical situations. You will work to develop the external profile of the Emergency Department via research, networking and educational committees and you will strive to develop and implement == The Practice == of continuous quality improvement within the department. Initially offering 450 beds, this will expand to 738 beds with the potential for further expansion to 900 beds beyond 2021.
