== The Position == You will provide a high level of leadership and direction to this busy Surgical and Perioperative Service located in Northern Tasmania. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, you will be an expert in liaising with nursing staff and various hospital departments to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the service. You will participate in an on-call roster and provide your expertise to professional groups and various stakeholders within the region. Additionally, you will have an interest in sharing your knowledge as you provide teaching and development to junior medical staff and university students. The Hospital  This centre is the primary healthcare facility for the region, offering a large range of medical, surgical and specialist services.  This facility has 300 beds providing care across the areas of Oncology, Intensive Care, Coronary Care, Paediatrics, Rehabilitation and Psychiatric care. The Hospital has strong links with the local University, with the medical school being located on the same campus alongside a strong focus on teaching and research within the hospital as an accredited teaching facility.
