The Opportunity An opportunity exists for an Adult Psychiatrist to start in December on a 6 month fixed term contract. You will be responsible for providing high quality care to consumers requiring clinical services in psychiatry and appropriateness of individual patient treatment, in relation to those patients allocated to your care. The Hospital This tertiary, teaching hospital holds over 340 beds and serves as the primary hospital for an estimated current population of 140,000. The hospital also serves as the referral hospital for rural and remote communities for the surrounding areas expanding the services area to 614,000 square kilometres ? approximately twice the size of Victoria.   The hospital has a wide range of specialist services in Emergency Medicine, Anaesthetics, Intensive Care and Coronary Care, acute medical and surgical, Rehabilitation, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Mental Health.   The hospital prides itself on looking after their staff.
