The Opportunity An opportunity exists for a Senior Specialist Clinician to fill == The Position == of Addiction Psychiatrist role.     You will be required to provide high quality psychiatry services to consumers of the Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service and provide clinical leadership for the Mental Health clinical team.   == The Position == requires a candidate with a solid background in psychiatric practice, with no less than the equivalent of six years full-time service in medical practice as a Staff Specialist.   The Hospital This tertiary, teaching hospital holds over 340 beds and serves as the primary hospital for an estimated current population of 140,000. The hospital also serves as the referral hospital for rural and remote communities for the surrounding areas expanding the services area to 614,000 square kilometres ? approximately twice the size of Victoria.   The hospital has a wide range of specialist services in Emergency Medicine, Anaesthetics, Intensive Care and Coronary Care, acute medical and surgical, Rehabilitation, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Mental Health.   The hospital prides itself on looking after their staff. It offers staff accommodation on campus, from single air-conditioned units to four-bedroom houses.
