  • Psychiatry Registrars and CMOs can earn a salary of $85,000 to $250,000 per year

  • Staff Specialist Psychiatrists receive a salary ranging form $250,000 to $500,000 per year

  • Psychiatrists in private practice can earn a competitive and uncapped salary dependent on the hours worked

Credentialing

You will need to undergo credentialing for the hospital or mental health service where you have accepted a role. We will work on your behalf to make this process as smooth as possible and have you starting your new Psychiatry job as soon as possible.

Doctors from overseas are required to apply for Specialist Assessment or Vocational registration with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).
