Wavelength is seeking a motivated Anaesthetist with an interest in ICU to work as either a VMO or Staff Specialist within regional NSW. This is a small, regional unit requiring knowledge of a full complement of anaesthetic services including obstetrics, general and regional anaesthesia. You will participate in an on-call roster and provide your expertise via consultative services as requested from your colleagues. Additionally, you will have an interest in sharing your knowledge facilitating and contributing to the supervision and training of colleagues, junior medical officers and students.
Serving a catchment population of 35,000 this102-bed hospital provides a wide range of care for the local community. These include intensive care, paediatric, dialysis, radiology services, oncology, rehabilitation, community and allied health services. The facility has a modern, 24-hour emergency department which has over 20,000 presentations annually alongside 11,000 admissions to the hospital. Recently awarded funding of $120 million, the facility will continue to grow and develop to meet the needs of the expanding community well into the future.

The successful candidate will have experience in and knowledge of regional Anaesthetics and ICU services.
You must be a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetics OR hold relevant qualifications in a comparable health country and be registered or eligible for registration with AHPRA.
