“Working in the stunning Eurobodalla region offers up a variety of challenges, where FACEMs exercise their skills and talents in a busy, supported environment; then, once the shift is over, swap the stethoscope for the surfboard or relax in the coastal lifestyle.” Dr Kirsty Dunn, Clinical Director Emergency Medicine – Eurobodalla
Southern NSW Local Health District is undergoing an unprecedented growth in infrastructure, including a $150 million investment for a new health facility in the Eurobodalla. You will join the departments in Moruya and Batemans Bay, which between them see 30,000 presentations a year, to provide high quality emergency medicine as the service works towards combining the two facilities in one location.
A hidden gem on the NSW South Coast, the Eurobodalla region offers an ideal mix of relaxation and adventure with a mild climate, stunning beaches, quaint towns and natural wonders.
With recent expansion in community, recreation and personal services, you’ll still find a laid-back way of life where people and nature complement each other. The area boasts a range of educational options across all levels and a highly affordable property market, plus Canberra is only 2 hours’ drive and Sydney just a short flight away.
You must hold FACEM and be eligible for Specialist Registration with AHPRA. Emergency Medicine Consultants with an equivalent overseas qualification, who are eligible for registration with AHPRA are also encouraged to apply. If you have experience working in regional medicine and are passionate about joining a department and a community in which you can make a real difference, then we’d love to hear from you.
