Wavelength is currently recruiting a Staff Specialist Geriatrician for either a part time or a full time opportunity in Victoria. For the full time role, you must be prepared to do some outreach to both Hamilton and Portland. The position is also open to those with a recognised post graduate qualification in Geriatric Medicine and a minimum Clinical Diploma in Palliative Medicine, preferably FRACP (Chapter of Palliative Medicine). There is also some opportunity to add Rehabilitation medicine in the mix. You will be provided opportunities for education at this teaching facility, alongside research and training as you work alongside a dedicated and highly experienced team and colleagues.
This large regional hospital has 192 beds and services a catchment population of approximately 110,000. The facility offers a broad range of services such as Dialysis, Rehabilitation, Psychiatric, Palliative and Acute Care. Additionally, a range of Allied Health services are available including Physiology and Occupational Therapy alongside Pathology and Medical Imaging being located on site. The facility sees approximately 24,444 presentations to the modern, 24 hour Emergency Department annually alongside 19,676 patient admissions.
