Wavelength International are seeking for Forensic Psychiatrists for two unique opportunities in Tasmania. There is an opportunity for a Community Forensic Psychiatrist to work state-wide across three major locations in Tasmania. An additional opportunity exists for an inpatient based Forensic Psychiatrist in Hobart. Both positions require collaboration with other psychiatrists and mental health services to provide a wide range of psychiatric services to people within the justice system who suffer from a range of mental illnesses.
Working as a part of the State-wide Mental Health service in the specialty stream of Correctional and Forensic Mental Health Services you will be working in an environment which requires all staff to be alert to any matter concerning the security and safety of patients and staff. The specialist secure mental health facility is located in Hobart, the 35-bed centre includes high dependency, extended care and semi-independent and living.
