Wavelength is seeking a motivated Senior Staff Specialist / Staff Specialist \ for a rare opportunity in Central QLD in a full-time capacity. You will be providing high level care for patients showcasing your experience in high level critical care and knowledge, alongside assisting with the organisation and management of the Specialist General Medicine services within the Hospital. You will participate in an on-call roster and provide your expertise via consultative services as requested from your colleagues. Additionally, you will have an interest in sharing your knowledge facilitating and contributing to the supervision and training of colleagues, junior medical officers and students. The Hospital services a growing population of 54,500 residents and operates as an accredited teaching public Hospital. The facility offers services such as Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Emergency and Coronary care. There are currently two operating theatres with a four bed ICU. The Emergency department currently sees over 27,593 presentations, and 10,977 admissions annually. This facility has recently received $45million in funding to support upgrades to existing facilities as the demand for service in the area continues to grow.

The successful candidate will hold fellowship with RACP and be registered as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia.
