Wavelength is seeking a Staff Specialist Clinical Haematologist to take on a Permanent position providing high-quality care to patients with malignant and non-malignant haematological disorders in outpatient clinics, day therapy unit and inpatients. The successful candidate will have demonstrated high level of clinical knowledge, proficiency and skills in Medical Haematology and an ongoing commitment to teamwork, teaching, education and research.
This state-of-the-art hospital offers a wide range of medical services to a growing population of approximately 230,000. The Hospital has 305 beds and is the main referral hospital for Central QLD. The hospitals modern, 24-hour Emergency Department sees approximately 48,000 presentations per annum, with a total of 38,991 patients admitted to the Hospital for medical services. Medical Services include Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Cardiology, Renal Medicine, Palliative Care, Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, Geriatric Medicine, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, ENT, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Intensive Care and Anaesthetics.
Situated half-way between Brisbane and Townsville, this town is a short drive to the pristine beaches and national parklands of Queensland. To be eligible in applying for this position you will hold:
• MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist Physician – Clinical Haematology with (AHPRA). Fellowship (FRACP) in the Speciality of Clinical Haematology is preferred.
• Driver's licence
