You will be joining a multidisciplinary community based, youth and adult mental health team as a Senior Medical Practitioner in Psychiatry. You will provide services to the whole region as required in agreement with the Clinical Director and Regional Mental Health Manager, and work with inpatients as needed. Primarily, you will be working in outpatient clinics, and may visit people at home but not often. You will enjoy a comfortable yet varied role, and you will be required to work on-call 1 in 4 weekends and 1 night per week. Your expertise will be utilised in supervising other medical staff and providing relevant advice to referrers. To be successful in applying for this position you must hold current registration or be eligible for registration with the Australian Medical Board (AHPRA), with experience from a comparable healthcare system (Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Ireland, Canada or USA). You will have demonstrated clinical skills and relevant experience working with clients with mental health problems across all age groups, and the ability to work at a senior, unsupervised level of practice.
