The Position
An exciting opportunity exists for a registrar to take their career to the next level and join a supportive hospital in a costal location in the Hunter region, NSW. This position will allow you to build upon your previous emergency/acute care experience and further develop your skills and experience. You will be required to participate in a 7 day a week/24 hour roster. There is the opportunity to work in charge of the department on night shift, allowing you to further develop your skills and experience. Working closely with other staff members of the department, this is a unique opportunity to grow within your career in a nurturing team environment.
The Hospital
This hospital is part of one of Australia’s largest not-for-profit healthcare organisations that is committed to providing quality and compassionate healthcare to those most in need. This public hospital is the major cancer care centre for the Hunter New England Local Health District, delivering more than 17,000 inpatient treatments per year as well as outpatient services on more than 390,000 occasions. The hospital houses 195 beds and is supported by an Emergency Department, intensive care unit and provides palliative care services. The Emergency Department operates 24 hours, seven days a week.

Essential Criteria
Applicants must hold or be eligible for registration with the Australian Medical Board, be at least PGY5 level and must have previous emergency medicine experience.
