As a Psychiatry Registrar you will be joining a leading private hospital where there are 2 wards, one of which focuses on Drug and Alcohol patients whilst the other focuses on General Adult patients. Working across both settings, your time can be accredited if you are enrolled on the college training program.
Working only business hours from Monday to Friday there is no on-call requirement, allowing a balanced lifestyle. Drug and Alcohol patients will generally undergo a 7-day medical detox and 28 days total rehabilitation, benefiting from a strong TMS and ECT service. General Adult patients tend to stay an average of 21 days and there is also a strong therapy component with community and day programs in place.
This private hospital has over 50 beds with plans to relocate and expand in to 2021. It offers quality multidisciplinary care to patients through a variety of programs and psychiatric treatments include TMS, ECT and tele counselling. Alongside working with the Consultant Psychiatrists and another registrar, you are supported by an excellent in-patient team and nursing staff.
