Wavelength is seeking a Principle House Officer to support senior staff by delivering a high-level of effective and efficient patient care. The successful candidate will have demonstrated clinical skills, knowledge and ethical behaviour in General Medicine and demonstrated skills in reviewing, analysing and evaluating patient care and commitment to high standards of clinical care to patients.
The 70-bed facility offers a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services including emergency, general medicine and surgery, basic orthopaedics, obstetrics, maternity, gynaecology, high dependency and coronary care, palliative care, paediatrics, medical imaging, pathology and clinical investigation. As part of a campus, this public hospital is situated in close proximity to a private hospital. With the two working in conjunction with one another, this makes for an interesting and varied workload.
You will be working in a major port city in Queensland with a strong and dynamic economy located only a stone’s throw away from the Southern Great Barrier Reef. With majestic heights and deep coral lagoons, this region has an adventurous outdoor flavour which complements its busy, urban environment. To be eligible in applying for this position you will hold:
• MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD)
• Licence to operate vehicle
