As an O&G Specialist, you will join a growing service with a positive and collaborative culture, covering General Gynaecology cases and around 800 births per year. You will join a team of 4 Consultants, well supported by Registrars and Residents. Within this health setting you will enjoy getting to know your patients well with plenty of opportunity for continuity of care.
This 186-bed hospital is the specialist referral centre for Central Australia providing services across an area of 1.25 million square kilometres. The hospital provides general specialty services in most areas including day procedure, emergency, intensive care and high dependency, maternity, medical, outpatients, paediatric, surgical and mental health services. Across the 800 births per year, many can be complex cases involving comorbidities.
You will be based one of the largest towns of the Northern Territory. The city is in an area of great scenic beauty with rugged ranges and spectacular gorges in a desert landscape. The town offers air-conditioned shopping centres, a wide range of restaurants, cafes and a cinema complex. There is numerous sporting, recreational and cultural activities to suit both families and individuals.

To be successful in your application, you must hold Fellowship with RANZCOG and AHPRA Specialist registration. While post-fellowship experience is desirable, new fellows are encouraged to apply.
