The Position

As an O&G Registrar, you will develop, consolidate and enhance your clinical skills in the provision of high-quality patient care. You will develop collaborative relationship with medical, anaesthetic, paediatric and psychiatric colleagues and senior staff as well as nursing and other staff. The Hospital

Servicing an immediate population of over 100,000, this modern, 280-bed hospital consists of four theatres, in-house MRI and CT services, and a state-of-the-art clinical skills laboratory. The Health Service is the main referral centre for the region. Services include a 24-hour Emergency Department, Surgery, Medical Services, Women’s and Children’s Services, Rehabilitation and Palliative care, Mental Health, Outpatients, and community-based health programs. It has 190 acute beds, including an eight-bed critical care unit and a 30-bed rehabilitation unit. Its facilities include three operating theatres, a day procedure unit and an endoscopy suite. The current birth rate is approximately 1200 per year with a significant number of very high and high risk pregnancies. This is an exciting time to join this Health Service as it moves towards being one of the largest just outside Melbourne.

Essential Criteria

You must have registration with AHPRA or be eligible for registration with experience from a comparable health care country such as NZ, the UK, Ireland, Canada or USA.
