The Position

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of private and public inpatients and outpatients within the facility and will provide after-hours emergency as determined by the relevant work unit.

There are two Accredited RACP Advanced Trainee positions, with accreditation for the rotations:

6 Months Core General Medicine – Acute Medical Unit

6 Months Core General Medicine

6 Months Core Sub-Speciality - Cardiology (low acuity), Infectious Diseases and Palliative Care/Rehabilitation

The Hospital

This North West Tasmanian hospital, has a 30 bed general medical and palliative ward and 6 bed Acute Medical Unit. It’s been recently accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians for Basic Physician Training Level One, Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) for 12 months training in the discipline of Adult Internal Medicine for doctors working towards fellowship qualifications.

Essential criteria

You will have general or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia and current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration.
