This is a rare opportunity to join the leading provider of gynaecological oncology services in New Zealand. This full time (1.0 FTE) position joins an existing collegial team of 3 Consultant’s providing surgical clinical care for approximately 500 new cancers annually.
In this role, you will be primarily be responsible for the provision of high-quality routine and emergency gynaecological oncology services to the region. Non-clinical activities include participation in training, continuous professional development and local clinical governance activities. Your on-call commitment is participation in the general gynaecology roster.
The position will be based across two sites, with potential outreach clinics. The gynaecological oncology service is an accredited training centre for CGO training and hosts the supraregional MDM which receives over 1000 referrals per year. The service encourages and supports staff research and continuing medical education.

You will hold an appropriate specialist and sub-specialist qualifications in gynaecological oncology and hold or be eligible to obtain Vocational Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. CGO accreditation and FRANZCOG are highly desirable.
