Wavelength is looking for a full-time motivated General Resident Medical Officer (RMO) who will be dedicated to bringing the highest standards to the health service and its patients. With no two days the same, you will experience a diverse patient and case mix. The Health Service
This 700 bed service treats more than 44,000 inpatients, triages over 50,000 emergency atendees and welcomes over 1,400 new borns each year. There are more than 13,000 operations performed and over 80,000 occasions of services are provided to outpatients in various clinics.
The health services main hospital has recently undergone a major $630 million development. Providing services to a catchment area of over 307 000, this facility hosts 372 beds alongside 11 operating theatres. Approximately 38,000 admissions are made per year for services including treatment at the integrated cancer care centre alongside Obstetric, Psychiatric and Coronary Care units. The new state of the art emergency department sees over 50,000 presentations annually.
Located in the South of Victoria, this location is a large city with a rich gold mining history. Its popularity and size have created a diverse community with many local attractions to explore. The temperate climate ensures you will be able to peruse the local farmers markets, wine regions, botanic gardens and camping sites year round. The city is well regarded for its wide variety of educational options across all levels as well as affordable housing in both the rental and buyers markets. To be elligible for this role you will hold a MBBS or equivalent and hold (or be elligible to be registered) AHPRA registration.
