This Aboriginal medical service is looking for a doctor to join their team and hit the ground running. To help you get started and settled in, the practice is offering a range of employee benefits such as accommodation, vehicle use and relocation assistance. For Non-VR GPs that require level 3 or 4 supervision, there is also an opportunity to join the Remote Vocational Training scheme, which is a fully funded training program offered at the practice.
The practice is well equipped to meet all your needs, featuring spacious consult rooms and a treatment room. There is also a range of specialist outreach services provided on-site, along with allied health. Close by is the local hospital which features 20 acute beds and 25 aged care beds. You will have the support of nurses, Aboriginal health workers and practice management.
Open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm and with no on-call or weekend hours, you will be able to enjoy a healthy work-life balance. Situated in an outback town, this practice is located 500 kms north of Alice Springs and 1,000 kms south of Darwin. The town is well known for its rich Aboriginal culture, gold mining history, large cattle stations and an array of interesting flora and fauna. Although situated in an outback region, the town is modern and features shops and a supermarket, restaurants, clubs, bars and accommodation. There is also a regional hospital in the area and an airport offering flights to Darwin and Alice Springs. If you have family to consider, there is both a primary and secondary school within the town, along with sports and recreation clubs. This is a modern rural location that is suitable for the whole family.

Health Workforce Certificate and visa sponsorship available.
RACGP PEP-Specialist Pathway eligible international candidates and GPs holding Specialist or General Registration with AHPRA are eligible for this role.
Non-VR GPs eligible, however only level 3 or 4 supervision is available
Special interests in Indigenous health and Emergency Medicine are highly desirable for the position, however not essential.
