The Practice

An established practice is unfortunately saying goodbye to one of their doctors at the end of the year and is looking for a GP to take over the patient base. The practice is open to considering both VR and Non-VR GPs and predicts that you will be booked in no time as you take over an established patient base. The practice is open to discussing both full-time and part-time hours to suit your needs. There is currently one other doctor at the practice that brings a wealth of knowledge and experience.

To ensure you settle in, the practice is offering accommodation, the use of a vehicle as well as relocation allowance of $5,000 that is accessible via the RDN. Situated on the main street of the town, this practice is well-equipped with four consult rooms and two nurses’ rooms. You will be supported by a team of highly experienced staff including two practice nurses, two senior receptionists and two part-time receptionists.

Practice operating hours are a family friendly 9:00am to 5:30pm from Monday to Friday and Saturday morning by appointment only. There is no on-call commitment and home appointments are at the discretion of the doctor.

The Location

This practice is situated in a friendly rural town located on the Castlereagh River in the Great Western Plains region of NSW. This quaint country town had a population of 2,600 recorded in 2016. The main street of the town offers an array of retail stores and shopping facilities, ensuring you have access to everything you need within the town. You can enjoy a visit to the local gallery, museums or get out and about on one of the many scenic nature walks.

There are several local sporting clubs and facilities to keep you busy and engaged within the local community. Enjoy a brunch or dinner with friends and family at one of the many cafes that are situated on the main street of town. If you have kids to consider there are two primary schools and a public school. This is a relaxed and friendly country town where you will be able to settle and become a part of the supportive local community.

Essential Criteria

DPA position available.

Health Workforce Certificate and visa sponsorship available.

RACGP PEP-Specialist Pathway eligible international candidates and GPs holding Specialist or General Registration with AHPRA are eligible for this role.

Women’s health experience or skin cancer medicine skills highly desirable, however not essential.
