This modern practice is located just 18km away from Auckland city centre, in a relatively large and leafy suburb. Known as the City of Sails, Auckland, is a major city in the north of New Zealand’s North Island. Also known as Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland sprawls over volcanic hills and around twin harbours, offering an exhilarating mix of natural wonders and urban adventures.
In the centre, the iconic Sky Tower has views of Viaduct Harbour, which is full of superyachts and lined with bars and cafes. Auckland Domain, the city’s oldest park, is based around an extinct volcano and home to the formal Wintergardens. Auckland is a shopaholic's paradise, with everything from top-end designers to open-air street markets. Favourite spots include Wynyard Quarter, the Viaduct Harbour, the Britomart precinct and City Works Depot. Schools and universities are plentiful which is ideal for those with a family.
Once you've seen the city, head to one of the beautiful wine regions of Auckland, where local wines can be sampled against the backdrop of vine-covered hills and sparkling ocean. The weather in Auckland is subtropical which offers a rather moderate climate throughout the year. The summers here are beautiful, warm and sunny, but not too hot at an average of 25 degrees. During winters, the weather is moderate at an average of 11 degrees.
