This is a great opportunity to join the department of Mental Health, Alcohol & Other Drugs as a Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist. You will be joining a multidisciplinary team in providing professional psychiatric interventions, direct clinical care and treatment to clients and their families with a mental illness in a General Adult setting. You will also play a role in supporting ongoing education through the supervision and teaching of colleagues and students.
You will join a state-of-the-art facility recently redevelopment at a cost of more than $400 million to reflect the growing demand for health care in the region. This public hospital has a new emergency department, outpatients department, birth suites and special care nursery, intensive care unit and coronary care unit, day surgery and operating theatre suite, inpatient surgical and medical wards, renal support services, day oncology, dental, allied health and mental health facilities. The Health Service provides an integrated approach to service delivery across acute, primary health and other community-based services including aged care assessment, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) programs.
