This position will be attractive to a highly skilled and motivated medical professional who views challenges as opportunities and is driven by a passion to improve healthcare within regional medicine. You will enjoy a varied role providing clinical management and treatment in the fields of General Gastroenterology, IBD, chronic liver disease, and both diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopy. Experience in capsule endoscopy would be highly regarded. There is also opportunity for you to develop some private practice locally to complement your role within the service.
The Health Service
You will be working at an innovative and dynamic health service that has a range of facilities to provide the best care for their patients, including two acute hospitals, three district hospitals and seven community health centres. The hospital is a 130 bed community hospital. The health service provides high quality health care and specialist services to a combined catchment area of 100,000 people.
The hospital has a very busy emergency department, as well as obstetric and gynaecology services. There is general surgery and anaesthetics within the hospital and there are extensive outpatient services for a range of subspecialty services many of which are provided by visiting specialists.
